A big thank you

ElectriCJAM was a big success and we wish to thank all those who came out to support the Clinic. Through the silent auction and donations at the door, we were able to raise over $2500 which will fund Clinic activities moving forward.

A special thank you to our volunteers, the artists who donated their work and the bands (David Drury, Crazy Diamond, Technical Kidman, Zeroes, the Guerrilla Campaign and musicfirm) without whom the event would not have been possible.

CJAM, the Montreal Artists Legal Clinic, is hosting a fundraising event on April 24th, 2010. ElectriCJAM will be held from 8:00 pm to 3:00 am at Eastern Bloc, 7240 rue Clark. We will be suggesting a donation of $10 at the door, with all proceeds benefitting CJAM directly.

The event will feature a silent auction of a print by local music legend Leonard Cohen along with other donated works of art. There will be live performances by local Montreal indie bands, including David Drury, Crazy Diamond, Technical Kidman, the Zeroes and musicfirm, and a rotation of house, funk, and disco DJ’s throughout the night.

CJAM is currently reaching out to the community for further support. If you are an artist, arts organization, or business owner who would like to contribute to the event, we are seeking donations in the form of works of art as well as other goods and services that will be auctioned off or raffled alongside the Cohen print. If you would like to make a donation, please contact Patrick Murdoch at patrickdmurdoch@gmail.com.
